Interim Operation Director to the wind power industry
3-4 months, Central Jutland
Our client is a leading installation equipment and tools partner for the global wind industry.
They have been part of the industry for decades supporting global wind turbine manufactures with products and services.
The company design, develops and manufacture the tools in close collaboration with major wind turbine manufactures. The tools are manufactured by subcontractors and mounted within the Danish facilities and shipped globally.
Our Operation Director will refer to the SVP and be part of the Business Unit management team. The Operation Director will lead 12 people in the business unit.
Responsibility:
- Lead the global operations in line with strategy, business targets, plans and budgets.
- Set the direction and targets (KPI’s) for the organization and deliver on OTD (on time delivery), efficiency, cost of stock, budgets etc.
- Lead, inspire and motivate the organization with strong communication skills and executional power.
- Secure that production orders are planned, prioritized and organized in a way that ensures efficient production and enables the delivery of realistic and accurate delivery times to all customers.
- In close collaboration with the Project department ensure that there is a smooth transaction from 0-series to serial production.
- Ensure a close collaboration with the sourcing department to make sure components arrive on time and risks of late deliveries are mitigated and communicated to sales if necessary.
- Take full responsibility for all planning activities in the operations leading to a high OTD.
- Ensure smooth cooperation with all internal as well as external stakeholders and partners.
